Moradabad, located in Uttar Pradesh, was founded in 1600 A.D. by Murad, son of Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, giving the city its name. Positioned 167 km from New Delhi along the banks of the Ram Ganga River, a tributary of the Ganges, Moradabad serves as the administrative center of the district. Known as the “Brass City” or Peetal Nagri, it is renowned for its extensive brass handicrafts exports to North America and Europe, making it a key hub for artisans and global trade.
